Statement: I’m a working mom who is tired of seeing Eastern Washington consistently left behind. My daughter will be heading to college soon and I want this to be a place that she can come back to, get a good job, and enjoy the quality of life we all cherish.

In my day job, I’ve worked to bring affordable and accessible health care to the State of Washington. For too long, our families and businesses have borne the burden of a broken health care system. At the same time, I believe we need to continue to strengthen our public school system. Education creates opportunity and lifts many people out of the cycle of poverty. That’s why I will champion universal pre-k and tuition-free community college for all Washington residents.

As we improve our education system, we need to ensure there are strong family wage jobs in the Spokane area so our children aren’t forced to chase opportunity elsewhere.

Endorsed: Washington State Labor Council, Children’s Campaign Fund, Washington Building Trades, Senator Andy Billig, Representative Marcus Riccelli, Spokane City Council President Ben Stuckart, Spokane Councilmember Kate Burke, Spokane Councilmember Breeann Beggs, teachers, doctors, nurses, business leaders, and many more.
